The role
As a Student‑assistant on the NWO XS project ‘Beyond the real and the artificial’, you will support the creation of a virtual environment for Dutch L2 (second language) speaking practice. Daily tasks include:
- Assisting with programming and development of interactive virtual scenarios aimed at Dutch learners
- Testing and troubleshooting software components in collaboration with researchers and developers
- Documenting technical workflows and contributing to user-testing sessions
- Coordinating small tasks with the project team within the Faculty of Humanities
Minimum commitment: 10 hours per week; typical range 10–16 hrs/week. The role is research-oriented and a great fit for students studying computing, digital humanities, linguistics, or related fields who want hands-on experience.
