Role
Brandstof is looking for a motivated student to work at KinderRijk in childcare. You will experience what it is like to work in childcare, rotate between different locations and help create a pleasant and safe environment in which children can develop. The work can involve toddlers making new discoveries as well as children at the BSO taking part in sports and creative activities. You will learn from experienced pedagogical colleagues while gaining practical experience alongside your studies.
What you will do
- Guide children in their everyday steps and development, from toddlers through to BSO children.
- Think of, prepare and carry out enjoyable and educational sports and craft activities.
- Encourage play, discovery, movement and learning in a safe and positive environment.
- Work with an enthusiastic, experienced team and learn from your colleagues.
- Work across different KinderRijk locations in Amsterdam and Amstelveen, so travelling between locations is part of the role.
Requirements
You are an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn student with a strong interest in children’s development. You are following a relevant higher professional education programme, such as Pedagogy, PABO or SPH, and have been admitted to the third year with at least 50% of your study credits. Alternatively, you have a qualifying mbo-3 or mbo-4 childcare diploma. If you are unsure whether your programme qualifies, Brandstof invites you to apply so this can be discussed. You must be available for at least 12 hours per week and be willing to travel between the locations. For work in a day-care centre, you have the ‘Werken met Baby’s’ certificate or are motivated to obtain it.
