From September, Feadship offers an HBO internship in Engineering Workflow Automation. You will analyse and automate repetitive processes, develop smart solutions and help engineers work more efficiently. This is a challenging work placement or graduation internship with direct impact on superyacht construction.
Your contribution to building a Feadship
How can engineers spend less time on manual and repetitive work? That is the question you will work on during this internship.
At Royal Van Lent Shipyard, you will examine processes closely and develop practical improvements. You will speak with engineers from different disciplines, identify opportunities and create solutions that make their work easier and more efficient. Examples include dashboards, templates, Excel tools or other forms of simple automation.
This gives colleagues more time to focus on work where they add real value. It combines innovation and technology with building some of the world’s finest superyachts.
What you will do during your internship
During your work placement or graduation internship, you will:
- Map work processes and recurring bottlenecks within Engineering
- Speak with users to identify opportunities for improvement
- Analyse processes and administrative tasks
- Develop and test practical automation solutions
- Work on dashboards, templates, reports and workflow improvements
- Investigate the feasibility and impact of new ideas
- Measure results and present your findings to colleagues and management
- Propose improvement initiatives for the future of Engineering
You will work on concrete solutions that add value quickly and on smart improvements that are directly noticeable on the work floor.
