Student Job: Trainee Pedagogical Worker

The role

Through Brandstof, you will work as a student worker at KinderRijk and gain practical experience in childcare alongside your studies. You will help create a safe, positive environment in which children can play, discover, move, learn and develop. The work involves children from toddlers through the out-of-school care group, or BSO. You may work across different KinderRijk locations in Amsterdam and Amstelveen, so the role offers varied day-to-day experience.

Everyday tasks

• Guide children in their daily activities and development, from toddlers to children in the BSO.

Who this suits

Brandstof is looking for an enthusiastic, eager-to-learn student with a strong interest in children’s development. You should be following a relevant hbo programme, such as Pedagogiek, PABO or SPH, and have been admitted to the third year with at least 50% of your study credits, or hold a qualifying mbo-3 or mbo-4 childcare diploma. You must be available for at least 12 hours per week and be comfortable travelling between the Amsterdam and Amstelveen locations. For work in a day-care centre, you need the ‘Working with Babies’ certificate or the motivation to obtain it.
