Start a security career at Schiphol as a security guard in training, combining work and learning at a unique location.
Training and duties
- Trigion fully pays the MBO-2 BBL training to become a security guard.
- The training lasts more than 4 weeks in total. During the first three theory weeks, you learn about security and aviation. You then spend one week at Schiphol building a foundation as an airport security guard.
- This is the TAST programme: Trigion Aviation Security Training. You start with TAST to learn about airport security, and your salary continues to be paid during the training.
As an airport security guard, you monitor and identify unusual situations at different access control points and work with colleagues, the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and Customs. You work variable shifts during the day, evening, night and weekends. With your team, you help ensure that travellers can depart or arrive safely 24/7. You work in a committed team at Schiphol. You can choose a part-time or full-time employment contract. Airport security guards have more powers than security guards in other sectors.
What Trigion offers

Requirements
- At least MBO 2 level, an at least VMBO diploma, or a transition certificate from HAVO/VWO 3 to 4.
- Flexible availability for day, evening, night and weekend shifts.

- Good command of Dutch and the ability to give basic instructions in English.
As part of the process, you will watch short videos and answer questions about working as a security guard at Trigion in 20 minutes. You are also asked whether you have been in contact with the police or the justice system in the past 8 years.
