The role

As a security officer at the Zuidas, Amsterdam's business heart, you help combine safety and hospitality in an international office environment with high visitor flows. You are the first point of contact for visitors while helping maintain a safe and professional environment. Visibility, alertness and a service-oriented approach are central to the work.

Everyday responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the site and help maintain a safe environment.
• Welcome visitors and direct them to the right place.
• Carry out patrols, including fire and closing rounds.
• Respond professionally to emergencies and alarm reports.
• Prepare reports in Workrate's systems.
• Identify unusual situations and security risks, and monitor the building and its surroundings.
• Communicate hospitably and professionally with visitors and colleagues.
• Support access control and visitor registration.

Requirements

• You have a Security Officer 2 diploma, or you are willing to obtain it through Workrate.
• You have completed havo, vwo or mbo-4 and want to follow the training.
• You are available Monday to Friday during the day.
• You are hospitable, representative and service-oriented.
• You speak excellent Dutch and good English.
• You are able to remain calm under pressure, work independently and keep an overview.
