Construction Internship MBO/HBO Amsterdam Kaag

From September, Feadship offers internships within CNS Engineering. You will work on projects such as process optimization, smart suspension systems for hull hatches, test procedures for portholes and databases for construction parameters. Graduation projects may focus on ice class/winterization or deck transitions.

Your contribution to building a Feadship

Within the Construction & Naval Support Engineering department, you will work on technical and process-oriented issues. You will investigate existing working methods and study data, then develop improvements with engineers that can be applied directly in projects. Your work contributes to the development and construction of exclusive superyachts.

What you will do

• Research options for painting yacht equipment during lifting operations.
• Help establish and improve test procedures for portholes.
• Set up and organize databases for construction and engineering parameters.
• Investigate and automate recurring tasks using programming or tools.
• Analyze current processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collect, process and structure technical data.
• Develop improvement ideas and present your results to stakeholders.
• Help further professionalize engineering processes.

You will work on concrete issues that visibly contribute to quality, efficiency and knowledge retention.

What you bring

• You are following an MBO-4 or HBO program in maritime technology, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field.
• You are interested in technology, data and process improvement.
• You are curious and able to unravel complex information and recognize connections.
• You work accurately, pay attention to detail and work in a structured way.
• You show initiative and can work independently.
• You can investigate information and translate it into applicable solutions.
• You communicate easily with different disciplines in a technical environment.
• Knowledge of Excel, databases or programming is a plus.

Motivation, technical interest and enthusiasm to learn are especially valued.
