About the venue
Lead a hospitality venue that is developing. You are at your best when the venue is full: you keep an overview, lead the team and make sure every guest receives the attention they expect.
The Keepers is looking for a hospitality manager for an iconic café in the Jordaan, Amsterdam. Neighbourhood residents, day visitors and tourists come here for breakfast, lunch, drinks and dinner. The kitchen and service are at a high level, while the atmosphere remains accessible and informal. You will also play an important role in expanding the venue into the adjacent premises.
The role
As hospitality manager, you are visible on the floor and responsible for the daily operation. You lead the team, monitor service quality and are the point of contact for guests and colleagues. You work closely with management and actively contribute to the further development of the venue.
You work 38 hours per week in shifts of approximately 8 hours. The team consists of approximately 20 colleagues, and per shift you work with 4 to 7 colleagues on the floor.
What will you do?
- Lead and coach the team during the shift.
- Ensure a smooth daily operation.
- Coordinate staff scheduling, reservations and stock.
- Monitor quality, service and HACCP.
- Act as the point of contact for guests and colleagues.
- Contribute ideas for improvements and the expansion of the venue.
