What you will do
As a flexible teacher, you will take on varying substitute assignments in Amsterdam primary education. These may be short- or longer-term replacements, depending on your availability and preferences. You can work in the lower, middle and/or upper years and at different types of schools.

You provide calm, structure and continuity in the classroom and align with the educational vision and working methods of the school where you are working. You create a safe and stimulating learning environment in which pupils feel seen and can continue to develop.

Because you determine your own working days, you retain control over your schedule. Whether you want to work one fixed day per week, are available for several days or prefer to remain flexible: at A'DAM Onderwijs you create your ideal working week. This allows you to combine teaching with your hobbies, family, business, studies or retirement without compromising on job satisfaction.

Who we are
We are A'DAM Onderwijs, a non-profit organisation founded by nine Amsterdam public-school boards. We support primary schools in Amsterdam with filling substitute requests and mediate directly between schools and education professionals.
In this way, we contribute to continuity in the classroom and keep flexible work in education affordable and attractive.

Requirements

• You have a pabo teaching qualification.
• You determine your own availability and are flexible in your deployment.
• You get energy from teaching and enjoy working with different groups.
• You can switch quickly and adapt easily to new schools and classes.
• You live in Amsterdam or the surrounding area.
