Employer: PostNL. The city and province are not provided.
Workdays: Tuesday and Wednesday.
What will you do? As an evening parcel courier, you start your working day at the sorting centre. You check your route, load the van and place the parcels logically so you can quickly find the right parcel on the way. Then you set off to deliver parcels in the evening to people's homes and businesses. You are the face of PostNL and help provide the delivery moment customers rely on. You work in the evening and spend about 5 to 6 hours on the road. You drive few kilometres and frequently get in and out of the van. At the end of your shift, you return to the sorting centre, hand in the van and return parcels you could not deliver.
What do you bring? You can work independently, are reliable and like to help your colleagues. You remain calm during busy periods and setbacks and represent PostNL with a positive attitude. You are at least 18 years old, speak Dutch and/or English, are fit and strong enough to lift both light and heavy parcels, and can provide a Certificate of Conduct (VOG).
What is offered? A contract for 7 months. After good performance, you may receive a permanent contract. The structured salary is EUR 15 per hour. The vacancy text also states a salary of € 2.557 per month based on a full-time working week, an hourly wage of € 14,99, and € 16,19 per hour including holiday allowance. Holiday allowance is paid annually in May. You also receive a 40% allowance for hours worked on Saturday, a pension contribution from 18 years old, travel expenses, five weeks of holiday per year for a full-time job, payment of overtime or the option to save it for extra days off, free access to online training, and membership of the PostNL staff association with discounts on holidays, outings, (health) insurance and online purchases.
