Your contribution to the construction of a Feadship

How can we organize technical processes more intelligently? How can we make important knowledge and construction data more accessible? And what improvements can we implement so that engineers can work more efficiently?

At the Constructie & Naval Support Engineering department, you work on various technical issues. You also tackle process-related bottlenecks. You investigate existing working methods and study data. Then, together with engineers, you develop improvements that can be directly applied in our projects.

In this way, you contribute to developing and building the most exclusive superyachts in the world.

This is what you will do as an HBO Construction Intern

During your internship, you will work on one or more of the following topics:

  • Researching options for painting yacht equipment during lifting operations.
  • Helping set up and improve test procedures for portholes.
  • Setting up and organizing databases for construction and engineering parameters.
  • Researching and automating recurring tasks using programming or tools.
  • Analyzing current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collecting, processing, and structuring technical data.
  • Developing improvement ideas and presenting your results to stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the further professionalization of engineering processes.

You work on concrete issues that visibly contribute to quality, efficiency, and knowledge retention within the organization.

What you bring

  • You are studying an MBO-4 or HBO programme in marine engineering, naval architecture, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical programme.
  • You are interested in technology, data and improving processes.
  • You are curious and can unravel complex information and identify connections to generate insights and solutions.
  • You work accurately, pay close attention to detail to prevent errors and work in a structured manner.
  • You show initiative and can work independently.
  • You can investigate information and translate it into applicable solutions.
  • You easily connect with different disciplines within a technical environment.
