Imagine: You start at a school where the basics are right. Where quality is established and care is in order. Where teachers know what they are doing. Where no piles of work have been left behind and no fires are waiting for you to put out. And that is exactly where you come in. Not to repair, but to refine. Not to clear backlogs, but to visibly strengthen quality. Not to sit back, but to get the best out of the school every day together with other professionals.
This is not a place for just any internal supervisor or quality coordinator. This is a place for someone who understands the profession - and who feels: here I want to and can really add value. A place where you go with pleasure, because it is simply good and nice there.
About our school:
Poseidon - Haven is a warm, stable school on IJburg in Amsterdam. We work goal-oriented, with an eye for every child and for each other. The care structure is solid and well thought out. The school has about 400 pupils, divided over 14 regular groups and 4 groups for full-time education for highly gifted pupils. There is no overdue work. You will work together with another internal supervisor, and the departing colleague will ensure a careful handover. You enter into peace, overview, and trust. That is special. And we want to keep it that way - and take it further.
What will you do?
As an internal supervisor / quality coordinator, you are the engine behind our educational quality. You:
- Keep an overview and see where things can be even better
- Coach teachers in a way that works in practice
- Analyze sharply and translate this into clear actions
- Conduct conversations with parents and external partners
- Think along at school level and help determine and set the course
Requirements:
We are not looking for a beginner. We are looking for someone who knows what good internal supervision work is. Someone who:
- Has experience and stands firm in the profession
- Brings peace and overview, even when it gets complex
- Dares to be critical, without losing contact
- Thinks in opportunities and solutions
- Believes in high expectations for every child and every teacher
- Has knowledge of (or affinity with) high giftedness
Employment conditions:
We offer:
- A school where the basis is already strong
- A professional and committed team
- A well-organized care structure
- A warm and careful handover
- Room to have real influence
- An appointment of 0.6 - 0.8 FTE. Classification in accordance with the CAO PO, within scales OOP 9 to 11, depending on education and experience.
- 8.33% year-end bonus and 8% holiday allowance.
- October allowance, paid annually starting October 2026.
- 427 leave hours (including public holidays) per year for a 40-hour work week (~10.5 weeks).
- Pension accrual with the ABP pension fund.
- An extensive professionalization offer, such as training, coaching, career guidance, and opportunities for further studies or certifications.
- A Microsoft Surface Pro tablet upon employment (on loan).
- A travel allowance scheme of €0.19 per kilometer.
- Scheme for computer glasses.
- A cozy and enthusiastic team that welcomes you!
- A school with spontaneous children and involved parents.
- Various events, such as the AMOS summer party, where you can enjoy a good time with your colleagues.
- A school board committed to being "the best employer in Amsterdam and surroundings"!
